76th Street Auto Fire

Cabin John, MD – 1700 hrs onĀ  Tuesday February 24, 2007: the Cabin John Park Fire department responded for the car fire in the 7900 block of 76th street. Engine 710 arrived on scene with Ambulance 710 to find a car fully engulfed in fire. After further investigation, the fire was deemed to have been started by a cigarette that fell in the passenger compartment. Engine 710 quickly mobilized water resources to extinguish the car fire. The automobile fire took a total of one hour to successfully extinguish and clean up. There was irreparable damage to the car but luckily, no one was hurt.
