Ho, Ho, Ho! Here Comes Cabin John Park VFD’s Annual Santa Run!
It’s an annual holiday highlight in the Bethesda, Potomac, and Cabin John neighborhood where CJP VFD is the designated first responder. Every night for more than two weeks, starting Dec. 7, our brightly bedecked fire engine, AKA Santa’s Sleigh, will roll through, lights flashing and music blaring, with Santa perched atop waving greetings to all.
Check the schedule below to see when he’ll pass through your neighborhood. His sleigh usually heads out around 6 p.m. and returns to the station—oops, stable—at 9 p.m. Follow his progress on your GPS here.
The pandemic has forced Santa to make some changes this year to keep everyone safe. His sleigh will not stop for pictures or any other reason. He would love to see you at the bottom of your driveway, but please do not congregate with neighbors.
And while Santa will gladly accept toys to be donated to kids, you will have to put them directly into the pickup truck that will follow the sleigh. Or you can drop them off at either CJP station, Station 10 on River Rd. or Station 30 on Falls Rd. near Oaklyn Dr. A box for toys will be located outside each station.
Your generous donations will go to National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda and, in conjunction with Montgomery County Police, the Scotland Drive Community Association.
