On Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 8:30 a.m., Holy Child will be hosting its fourth annual Tiger Trot, a 5K run/walk. The Tiger Trot is a fundraiser that will benefit the fitness and wellness programs at Holy Child as well as the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department. Over the last two years, as the secondary beneficiary for this event, the CJPVFD received more than $6,000 in donations from Holy Child!
The popularity of the Tiger Trot is on the rise; participation has grown to more than 400 runners, including many elite runners in the region. The goal is to increase the registrations so that even more funds are raised for the Holy Child health and wellness programs and the CJPVFD! This year’s bonus is that each online registrant gets a tech shirt AND automatic entry into the Grand Prize raffle for a one-year fitness membership in the Sergeant’s Program (worth $2,000) plus a $500 shopping spree at Lululemon.
You can help make this event even more successful by participating. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome! Bring your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers and enjoy this event that starts on the Holy Child campus and winds through the scenic streets of Potomac. Last year, we mounted a strong team of firefighting volunteers—join them or just come see them run again! Our finish line celebration and awards ceremony, with music, a moon-bounce, snacks and drinks, will once again be a fun-filled close to the 2014 Tiger Trot.
More information and registration information can be found at www.holychild.org/tigertrot. We will see you there!
