We're in our 91st year of safeguarding the lives and homes of the residents of Potomac, West Bethesda, and Cabin John. I am proud to have more than 100 volunteers under my command, from 16 to 75 years old, all of them trained and ready to apply their lifesaving and firefighting skills. If you've seen them in action, you know what they can do.
I look forward to meeting you face to face, once we can do it safely. When we do, don't be surprised if I suggest that you might want to fill out an application yourself. We're a family here, and we're always looking for new members. That's what I did more than 20 years ago, when I was a teacher from Australia looking to contribute to my new community, and I've never been sorry.
See you soon--stay safe.
