CJPVFD has been raising funds by providing the community with Christmas trees for over 40+ years.

Our Tree lot is all volunteer staffed!

 

(Yes the same Volunteers that answer your 911 Calls!) 

 

All Money that is received goes directly to assist CJPVFD to defray the costs of running our nationally recognized fire and rescue services.

Our trees come from a family run tree farm, Eliot’s Tree Farm, in  Pennsylvania. All trees are Douglas Fir, freshly cut and delivered the last weekend in November for freshness. The trees range in size from 5 feet to 12 feet so we can meet the various needs of our customers.  We recommend a donation in exchange for the trees based on the height (by the foot) and can offer delivery on a case by case basis. We wrap, trim and fresh cut each tree to your specifications and have a “tried and true recipe” to keep your tree fresh and safe throughout the Holiday season.

Christmas Tree Preservative

To preserve the freshness of your CJPVFD holiday tree, we recommend:

FILL A 2 GALLON BUCKET, 2/3 FULL WITH BOILING WATER

STIR IN THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:

– 1 PINT KARO CORN SYRUP (CLEAR)

– 1 “PINCH” EPSOM SALT

– 1/2 TEASPOON OF BORAX POWDER

– 2 OUNCES LIQUID CLOROX BLEACH

STIR VIGOROUSLY AND POUR MIXTURE INTO TREE STAND

(ENSURE THAT YOU PLACE A PROTECTIVE CONTAINER BENEATH TREE STAND!)

SECURELY COVER REMAINDER OF MIXTURE FOR FUTURE USE, PERIODICALLY TOPPING-OFF TREE STAND USE CAUTION IN STORING THIS RECIPE
